If you are a teacher considering joining an online learning platform to earn royalties through their revenue share program, then this mini podcast episode is for you.
I think it's wonderful that there are online learning platforms for teachers to make it affordable for their paying students around the world.
However, I feel some teachers are publishing one online class after another, hoping to receive a bigger slice of that revenue share because the royalties they earn on some of these online learning platforms are based on a student's watch time and engagement.
The issue with this is when a teacher publishes too many classes, they are unable to keep up with answering every student's questions.
This leaves students wondering why they joined the online class to begin with if the teacher takes days or even weeks to answer their questions.
Now, if you're a teacher who's in this predicament, please consider partnering with another experienced teacher who can share the customer service workload of whatever questions from students that come your way.
No matter how much a student pays, those questions should never go unanswered if it pertains to the class that you are teaching.
If you feel that you're unable to answer those questions on the online learning platform that pays their teachers via a revenue share based model and you aren't able to partner with another teacher, then please reconsider joining because you may make it harder for yourself to convert your e-newsletter subscribers into paying members for those future online classes you host elsewhere.
